One of SCILET’s most important activities is to bring established Indian creative writers to visit our Centre and present readings of their work, followed by questions and discussion regarding what they have read. Audiences for these programmes include personnel from Madurai area colleges and universities, along with students, faculty and alumni of American College and interested citizens of the Madurai community. Major writers who have given such programmes at SCILET are listed below, along with the year(s) of their programme(s), their place(s) of residence and a few of their works that represent the various genres of creative writing in which they are active.
